What A Common Tragedy

My answer has always been when and how? 

When are we going to meet? 

How long will I have to cry because I don’t feel good enough? 

How much heartbreak will I have to go through?

How many people are going to walk in and out of my life

Before I found the one who will stick around. 

And on those nights when I can't sleep and 

Thoughts that I try to suppress come front and center,

I think, 

What if they never come? 

What if we can't make it work? 

Or worse, 

What if we meet and fall in love,

But we aren't built to last...  

Oh My! What a common tragedy!
