An Unexpected Hiatus?

Well... I've disappeared and I am so sorry, but there was a death in the family. I had to take some time off to grieve with the family and then my personal grievances. I just wanted to say that I did come up with a new "schedule". Nothing permanent, but I have a few ideas. Starting in January I will be trying to put it into effect. Stay tuned for that and thanks you for your patience through my little hiatus.Until then look at these cute winter pictures.

FALLing into Autumn

Good-bye summer, Hello autumn. I don't know about you guys, but I am sooo excited for the new season. Don't get me wrong, I love summer just as much as the next gal, but there's just something about autumn that makes your insides happy. It's like even the thought of it, makes you smile from ear-to-ear. Autumn is the season for bonfires, haunted houses, football games, candles and PUMPKIN SPICE. If any of those things don't make you happy, we need to get you to an operating table ASAP. (JK, everyone has their own preferences.)

Hopefully this blog helps get you guys into the autumn-y spirit.

A New Peace

Those moments. Those moments when we don't know which way is up or down. East or West. Those moments when we are so completely lost and confused that we couldn't answer one plus one. Lately that's been me.
I'm at the stage in my life when it's time to either hold on or move on. Senior year is upon me and I've never been so indecisive in my entire life. It's like one day I know what I want and where I want to go and the next day I've completely changed my mind. I can't just make up my mind. My brain is a whirled-wind.
So,  what does a teenager do when they don't know what to do? I went on social media to clear my mind. Instagram to be exact. That's when I saw it. Jefferson Bethke's book sale.  His book was on sale for $ .99 on Amazon. Now I know what you guys are thinking. This isn't a religious blog, and you guys are correct,  but I want to share with you guys what I discovered. Anyways, I figured what can I lose? (Besides my dollar. ) So I bought it. And I'm only not even half way through but I already feel better. It's like a peace. Jeff definitely has a way with words. But most importantly, I can sense God's presence practically jumping off of the screen.
But no, I still don't know where I want to go to college, or how exactly I'm going to get through senior year without losing all of my hair, BUT I've found a new peace and a new calmness that I just had to share with you guys.

P. S. If you guys want me to do a review of Jesus > Religion let me know in the comments or on my twitter.

Same Movie, Different Actors

Something that I've never been able to comprehend is why people feel the need to define teenagers. Whether it's our parents telling us that we can or can't do a certain thing, or our teachers telling us what we can and can't accomplish in this world, or the media telling us stupid statistics that don't matter to us. I think that sometimes people forget what it is like to be a teenager. Like somehow by becoming an adult they trade off their amazing teenage memories for a 9-5 job. I get that bills have to be paid and children need to be fed but why does that mean forgetting?
Forget how at 14 the best thing was sleepovers with your BFF. At 15 going to the varsity football game on Friday night was the highlight of your week. At 16 driving around during on summer nights with the boy down the street meant everything. And at 17 you thought you were in love and had it all figured out. Those are the things that make a teenager aTEENAGER.
So yeah, maybe things have changed since the 1970's but the Grease love story is still relevant today. People still not feeling like they belong, still indecisive, still looking for love. The only difference is that Danny's a football player and Sandy's valedictorian. Nothing has changed. Same movie, different actors.
