Hello 2016

Hey guys. Long time no blog. I know, you don’t want to hear my excuses but my first semester of college was an adjustment. And it seems like every time I went to blog something would come up! But I’m on winter break now, I’m going to try to start posting at least once a week and hopefully that’ll be my first step. Imagine if I could upload multiple times a week. *GASP*

Right now, my mind is completely focused on 2016 and everything that I want to accomplish. I think that if I write them out, I’ll have more of a desire to get them done, because now they’re out in the universe.

  My Goals for 2016-

1.     Read my Bible everyday – My faith is very important to me, but lately it’s been taking a backseat to everything else in my life. I want to try to read the Bible through this year, and also have a more personal relationship with God.
2.     Workout 6 days a week – I want to try-out for my schools Track & Field team and right now, I am in horrible shape. Also, I want to feel better about myself and help boost my self-confidence.
3.     Daily Journal – I have kept a personal journal on and off for almost 5 years, but this year I want to make journaling a daily thing. It doesn’t even have to be super long. Just a little synopsis of how I’m feeling, so when the year is over I can look back and reminisce.
4.     Be Positive – I am very environmentally impacted. Meaning if someone around me is sad or happy I tend to lean more towards their feeling. This year I want to be in charge. I want to look for the good in life.
5.     Blog – I have a lot of goals for this blog. Mostly I want to put more effort and really begin making it a priority. I also want to branch out in the blogging community and be a part of a network/ group that helps and uplifts each other.
6.     Me First – I have a tendency to put others view of me as who I actually am. I’m learning that living that way isn’t helping me at all. I am going to start thinking about how I feel and what I want before I allow others opinion to sway me.
7.     Read More – Between school, work, and blogging I really don’t have as much free time as I would like, but reading has always been something that I enjoy. I am challenging myself to read 30 books this year.
8.     Socialize - For my first semester in college, I didn’t really branch out at all. I didn’t talk to many people and I want that to change. I don’t want to look back on my college experience and only have gone to classes. I want to make lasting friendships and live a life that I would be proud to tell others one day.

*DISCLAIMER- I am by no means trying to push any of my goals onto anyone, I just wanted to share them to help keep myself accountable and hopefully inspire someone else to create their own personal goals.
